Little Annie and Little Jacob are both based on old photographs of my parents which is why the main images are within oval shapes. The borders are decorative and have their initials at the top but each is in mirror image as a reminder that photographs are only a reflection of one moment in time. They do not show the future.
In the photo Annie is sitting in a pushchair and around her are her three elder sisters. Annie is smiling and holding out her hands. They are in a field. The photo was taken in 1912. Around the border there are pictures of flowers and insects and a bird.
