PREGNANCY IN ORANGE
Cyprus, 1968 and just a few weeks to go to the birth of my first son.
The local shop was selling oranges.
I bought a large paper bag full not realising that they had just been sprayed with water to make them look really fresh.
I hadn't got very far down the road when the first orange had soaked the paper bag and burst through the bottom.
The others soon followed.
I watched them roll down the road unable to give chase or bend down to pick them up.
