Midshipman Comber The first print and I needed to know what the Midshipman looked like before I could make the next prints based on the actual letters. Here he looks proud, but young, slightly gawky and still a little wet behind the ears. Leaving England and family to sail to many different countries must have been a huge adventure, but scary too.
